My poor noodle arms have definitely lost strength, as have my shoulders and back judging from today's aches.I'm determined to bounce back though! Do any aerial fans supplement their practice with weights training? I have a cheap gym membership already, so this is more realistic for me than paying for multiple aerials classes per week. It's a fairly large commercial gym with all your standard machines and free weights (I'm also open to bodyweight suggestions!).
I just started taking silks in December, definitely still building up my strength! I had never even climbed the rope in gym class before my first silks lesson. I also felt as weak as a kitten! (I've gotten stronger, but still working on it!)I don't have a gym membership. I do have a pull up bar and that's been really helpful.
I've also been doing lots of yoga and push ups, too. There are some great yoga poses for strength training. These are the positions I work into my routine:Crow poseDownward facing dog into Upward facing dogThe WheelPigeon pose (for strength and flexibility)Warrior 1 and 2 poses, along with variations (great for leg strength and balance)I could send you a good yoga video on YouTube if you want!:).

Please do not spam. For a full explanation of the rules, please follow. I've noticed that my instructors don't mention or even know the names of a good amount of tricks that they teach. To better be able to keep track of what I've learned/make organization of my notes, I'm looking for a list of moves, preferably with corresponding pictures. Anyone know of a database like this? Or even a good Pinterest board or something that includes move names?
I know a lot of names are region or even studio specific but I imagine there's a common name or two for most tricks!.
